Following the recent uproar surrounding the death of popular musician, Mohbad, New Cruise 92.7 FM located in Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti state and other stations have placed a ban on the broadcast of Naira Marley’s songs till further notice.
The Popular artist who died at the age of 27 years had earlier laid allegations against Sam Larry for harassment. However, the causes of his death remain unknown as different accounts of circumstances surrounding the demise exist. One account was that he complained of an ear problem, which led to him being taken to the hospital, where he was given an injection.
Since the demise of ILERIOLUWA OLADIMEJI ALOBA popularly known as Mohbad/Imole, there have been rumours about the involvement of Marlian Records in his death. With the flying videos of Sam Larry and Naira Marley harassing Mohbad on countless occasions, fans all over the world took it upon themselves to voice out and seek justice for Mohbad. Citizens, however, showed displeasure at how Mohbad’s fundamental rights as a human being were trampled upon just before his demise.
Furthermore, with the intervention of the police force to conduct an autopsy and exhume the body, citizens have become more keen to see Naira Marley and his crew behind bars. The Lagos State Police Command has inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe the mysterious death of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba.
Lastly, over two hundred and ten people signed the petition to ban Marian music all over the nation, due to the inhuman treatment received by the late Mohbad while he was still with Marlian Records.
