Aregbesola Reveals Next Plan After His Man Lost

    Osun Former governor and Minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has declared his faction of the All Progressive Congress, APC, will follow legal means to get justice.

     He made this known through his media aide, Sola Fasure, after his chosen candidate suffered defeat. Oyetola, the incumbent governor, had 309 votes against 146 votes in the Minister’s ward, Ilofin Ward 8, Ilesa East Local Government on Saturday.
The Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, who was absent from his ward during the election, claims the process was manipulated to favour the governor against all known guidelines of the party.

He made it known via his speech; identified some shortcomings of the just concluded primary, including failure to do accreditation at many ward, absence of viral documents for recording and vital data and result sheet. He also stated that some individuals without party identification also participated in the primary election.

He made it known that they regret the dismay of local and international observers concerning what they refer to ” as a travesty of an election.”
The Minister encouraged his faction members to be calm, legal means will be taken to ensure Justice is obtained. Assuring them victory.
According to punch, he said, “You are urged not to take laws into your hands. Please leave the rest to the Almighty God and let us explore all peaceful and legal means for addressing the matter in order to obtain justice.

“Please remain committed to peace and the rule of law. Be unflinching in your commitment to the democratic ideals. Democracy is for the long haul. As you all know, we never tire and we never give up on the cause we believe in. Be rest assured that victory is ours”, he said. Aregbesola is adamant on going to the court of law to resolve the  issues that sprang up during the electioneering process.
