InFocus News Agency held its end-of-session hangout / handover ceremony on Sunday 29th August, 2026 at Faculty of Education basement. The event marked the transition to new leadership and celebrated the agency’s graduating members. The hangout themed: From Headline to Higher Heights.
Wuraola took the opening prayer then a game session followed. Everyone participated in sharing of past memories and had fun.
The new executives are: Onasanya Omotoyosi as the Editor-in-Chief, Ogunleye Oluwadarasimi as the Deputy-Editor-in-Chief, Folorunsho Eniola as the General Secretary, Adedayo Adetunrayo as the Financial Secretary, and Adesina Wuraola as the Social Media Manager.
Also, the FYBs advised and encouraged others to continue the good work. Ogunwale Mathew, one of the FYBs advised that the undergraduates should do well to maintain good relationships. Oladele Oni also emphasized on having good character.
Furthermore, the Erstwhile Editor-in-Chief, Balogun Hairat, gave a farewell speech. She appreciated all members for their effort during her tenure. She also advised the incoming executives to be “up and doing.” She therefore introduced the new executives and conducted the handover process.
The newly appointed Editor-in-Chief presented gifts and certificates to the graduating members in recognition of their contributions to the agency. The ceremony ended with refreshments and photographs creating lasting memories for the members.
