Great Ife Students’ Union announced temporary transport prices for students, following a series of meetings with transport union leaders. The move aims to ensure fairness and prevent extortion by drivers.
According to the union, the prices are temporary, given the current economic situation, and will be reviewed if petrol cost decreases. Students are advised to familiarise themselves with the new prices and report any driver or bike operator who refuses to comply.
The union has urged students to adhere strictly to the official price guidelines and report any violations. In cases of aggressive behaviour from violators, students should avoid confrontation and instead record the Cartrec number or vehicle’s number plate and promptly report the incident to the Union.
