Shun Crime, Uzodimma’s Aide Advises Youths

Eric Uwakwe, the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Youths Affairs, has urged youths in the state to prevent acts capable of endangering their lives and tarnishing the state’s image.

Uwakwe, on Monday, gave the advice when he distributed over 1,000 bags of rice to the youths of the state for the Christmas celebration.

He disclosed that Gov. Uzodimma was committed to empowering more youths in the state in many key institutions of the economy of the state.

Uwakwe noted that though the Christmas season comes with a lot of tempting offers for weak minds, the youths of Imo State must stay focused and determined to make it through legal means.

He stated that the governor’s second term, which kicks off in January, will witness more youth employment programmes.

“Remember, you are the hope of our state. The future of Imo State You must not allow yourselves to be carried away by the glamours of the moment. You must not allow yourselves to be lured into crime. Remain committed to noble ideals and affection for our great state.

“Our governor is committed to empowering more youths of the state. His second term reign shall witness lots of youth employment activities. This is a father who loves his children. We must keep praying for our state now and in the years to come,” Uwakwe said.
