Moremi Leadership Conference: Navigating the Entrepreneurial Leadership Strategies

The Moremi Leadership and Entrepreneurship Conference, which was held on November 11 at Oduduwa Hall, was an eventful occasion for all participants.

Moremi Leadership and Entrepreneurship Conference programme organized by the Moremi Leadership and hosted by Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, queen, Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi, the founder of Queen Moremi Initiative, and the vice chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Professor Simeon Bamire.

The speakers at the conference include Mrs. Oluneye Oluwole, the Executive Director of Africa Hub Internationals; Dr. Stephen Akintayo, the chairman of GTEXT Holdings; and Dr. Oluwole Fabohunda, the Managing Director and CEO of Seven 30 Real Estate Ltd.

Mrs. Oluneye Oluwole, the first keynote speaker, addressed entrepreneurship as an investment in the collective future of the world. She listed things that limit women from achieving their dreams.

She stressed that resilience is the foundation of success. It is the bedrock upon which we build our dreams, and noted that education equips people to pursue them.

The second key note speaker, Dr. Stephen Akintayo, spoke on uncovering the realities of building a business today in the nation from scratch.

“Your story will change if you take responsibility.”

“Taking responsibility has to do with mentoring, thinking long-term, taking calculated risks, and having the right attitude to work.” Dr. Akintayo said

Also speaking, Dr. Oluwole Fabohunda, the third keynote speaker, stressed the importance of networking.

He noted that “school is not a scam experience in life rather than focusing on life experience in school.”

Speaking further, Fabohunda explained that there are no strangers but friends the conference attendees have yet to meet.

 

Other business owners at the conference shared their business ideas and strategies, like Tie and Dye, Cassava Flakes, and Turning Waste into Treasure (Nylon Waste Product).

The programme was an eventful one, as there were lots of raffle draw giveaways, scholarships, cultural troupe entertainment, and lots more.
