An Osun State High Court, Osogbo presided by Justice Adepele Ojo has rejected bail application of Hilton Hotel and Resort owner, Dr Rahmon Adedoyin and six staff in connection to the murder of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Masters student, Timothy Adegoke.
Dr Rahmon Adedoyin alongside other defendants : Oyetunde Kazeem, Oluwole Lawrence, Adeniyi Aderogba, Adedeji Adesola, Adebayo kunle and Magdalene are facing trial on eleven counts bothering conspiracy, murder, felony amongst others.
Adepele rejected the bail applications, stating their health condition could not be said to be threatened.
Upon arraignment, the counsel to the defendants, Adekunle Adegoke, K.K Elena and Okon Ita had moved the bail application for the defendants, which the prosecutor, M O Omosun opposed.
Accordingto her, the nature of the offences preferred against the defendants demands that the court be cautious in granting such bail applications.
The counsel and prosecutor argued the bail. Rahmon and other defendants are remanded till Monday for ruling on their bail application.
