Stranded Nigerians returns home from Ukraine

The first batch of Nigerians arrived at Abuja today 4th of March 2022. They arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.
The total number is about 411 passengers.

They arrived through Max Air at exactly 7:11am.

They were taken from Romania where they had previously taken refuge.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier approved a budget of $8.5 million for the evacuation of the stranded Nigerians.

The Federal Government also had previously approved the citizens evacuation through Air Max and Air Peace.
According to Channels Television, the Federal Government said the citizens will be given stipends.

They will isolate themselves for COVID 19 protocols.
Families happily now reconnect with their loved ones. “Welcome back home. Our prayers and thoughts are with others who are awaiting evacuation. May they all be safe wherever they are and those who wants to return home retur home safely” Nigerians welcome back their fellow citizens on Twitter
