According to ‘The Punch’ on Sunday evening, the federal government has made provisions of free visa. For Nigerians in Ukraine, arriving through the borders in Romania and Hungary.
Gabriel Adudar, permanent secretary, Minister of foreign affairs, made it known in a release. The problems and difficulties faced by Nigerians in Ukraine crossing into countries bordering Ukraine, has made the FG to make available accommodation and feeding, pending the time of evacuation.
The statement read, “The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs has spoken with his counterpart. The Foreign Minister of Ukraine on this unsavoury development and both are working on alleviating the suffering of Nigerians.
Including deploying the International Organisation for Migration to the border to ensure easier access to all Nigerians and other nationals”.
Currently, movement to the Hungarian Zahony border, Romania Suceava, Tulce and other borders Is termed ‘safe’.
This borders have approved visa – free access to all Nigerians coming from Ukraine.
