Tell Us What Others Are Hiding

If you know about wrongdoing, abuse of power, misuse of money or a danger to students, InFocus wants to hear from you. Only the Editor-in-Chief can open confidential tips.

Before You Send Anything

  • No website is fully anonymous. We don't keep your IP address with your tip and we don't ask for your name. Our web host may still keep standard server logs for a short time.
  • Avoid using a university computer, the university Wi-Fi or a work phone.
  • Photos and documents can contain hidden details such as location, author name or device. Take a screenshot of a document instead of sending the original file where you can.
  • If you want us to reply, give a contact that isn't linked to your real name, such as a new email address.
Names, dates, places, amounts and how you know.
Documents, other witnesses, records or places we should look.
Up to 5 files, 10MB each.
How the thank-you works
  • Tips that lead to a published story may receive a small thank-you of between ₦2,000 and ₦5,000, or airtime of the same value.
  • The Editor-in-Chief decides whether a tip qualifies and how much, after the story is published. This decision is final.
  • Nothing is promised before publication, and a thank-you never affects whether or how we report a story.
  • You can stay anonymous and decline the thank-you.
