The Association of Education and English Students hosted a memorable Dinner and Award Night with the theme ‘Retro in Style’, bringing together unit members from part one to part four for a night of nostalgia, recognition, and celebration.
The event was held at the SUB TV room on 29th July 2024. It was a fitting conclusion to the academic year and bidding farewell to the outgoing president.
In his farewell speech, the outgoing president, Adesokan Tosin, emphasized the importance of unity and moving forward.
‘Let us come together as one and forge what has happened, ‘he urged, encouraging members to put aside past differences and work towards a common goal.’
Additionally, he commends the social director, Adekola Oluwakorede (Cypher) for making ADAN come back to life because it has been done for the past 7 years. His words were met with applause as the audience acknowledged his effort.
The ADAN night began with a red carpet reception, where guests donned their finest retro attire. The dinner hall was transformed into a vibrant time capsule with decorations and music from the 80s setting the tone for a night of reminiscence.
