Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, professionally recognised as D’Banj set to mark a 20-year career with a new single.
He has announced to fans that he will release a highly anticipated single to mark his 20-year career.
Taking to social media to disseminate this news, the music icon stated that the new single, titled “Since ‘04”, is to celebrate the inception of his career 20 years ago.
The track is scheduled for release on May 3, 2024.
Furthermore, D’Banj acknowledged his former Mo’ Hit crew members for the salient roles they played in his brand development and the light of comradeship they did not allow to wane.
The veteran singer went ahead to name contributors who had in one way or another acted as catalysts in the success of this song.
Amongst them are Baba Are, Vanessa Amadi, Tonya Merit and Bankulli, whom the singer thanked for their unwavering support.
He founded Mo’ Hit Records with Don Jazzy and is best known for his song Oliver Twist, a song that broke the African charts in 2011.
A few of his singles are “Soccer”, “Tongolo”, “Gbono Feli Feli”, “Fall in Love”, and “Mr Endowed”.
D’Banj is the recipient of several awards including the reward for Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2007.
