OAU Female Student Set to Break World Record.

A female student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), SUBAIR ENIITAN, popularly known as Eyinju Eledumare, has embarked on a journey today, 24 November 2023, to set the Guinness World Record for the longest washing marathon of 50 hours.

Eniitan is a chanter and a singer, and she is also the Miss Culture of Ile-Ife in 2022. She was also the chanter at the premiere of the popular Nollywood movie, Jagun Jagun.

Enitan, who has received approval from the Guinness World Record, began her Wash-A-Ton this morning at the SUB Car Park of the varsity.

The Federation of Ijebu and Remo Students Association, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), made a press release on November 21 to support their member, Eniitan, on her Wash-A-Ton.

The press release reads: “One of our members is embarking on an extraordinary journey to attempt a Guinness World Record in longest hours of washing by an individual.”

“We encourage all members to be a part of this exciting adventure.”

Popular skitmaker Tejulive and many students converge at SUB Car Park to cheer and encourage her. They chant the Great Ife anthem with vibrance and energy.

The Wash-A-Ton live stream broadcast is currently ongoing on social media with the tag @OAUWASHATON.

Students wished her success as she embarked on this journey.

Earlier on, a popular Ogbomoso-born chef, Tope Magi, had successfully completed his Cook-A-Thon, following the world record of 119 hours and 57 minutes set by the Irish chef, Alan Fisher.
