A lot has been happening among the OAU Students Union since the 12th of April,2022 when the group leader, Olayiwola Festus cried out at UBA over the anoun of money that vanished from the union’s account. They were assured by the members of staff of the bank that the thief would be revealed as soon as they can.
According to their promise, the bank gave a revelation of the person behind the illegal withdrawal of money from the union’s account, the person of Oyekan Ibukun Oyediran a.k.a Dr. IBK, a former member of the Students Union executive in 2017.
However, Dr. IBK claimed not to know anything concerning the missing money he is being accused of. In a message that was written and forwarded to all OAU students he stated that he has no involvement in the Student Union matter since he vacated the the office in 2017, the union account never had any form of internet banking details and that he is not a signatory to the union account.
Despite the claims of Dr. IBK, he was arrested on the 14th of April and has appeared before the court at Chief Magistrate’s Court along Ibadan road around 9:00am. The President of the union, Olayiwola Festus, the Financial secretary, Oluwasegun Abiola Joy, other members of the Central committee, honorables and students among many others attended the court this morning. 
His case has been adjourned till the 26th of April, 2022. Meanwhile, he has been placed in bail and the condition of his bail are two guarantors with a sum of #500,000 each and his defendants must be residents of Ife and must be gainfully employed.
