Breaking: Arrested Ex-OAU Union President, Dr IBK, Appears In Court, Pleads Not Guilty To Theft And Fraud Charges

The impeached former president of the Great Ife Students’ Union who was arrested yesterday by the OAU Security Department but later got transferred to Moore police station, Ibunkun Oyediran Oyekan, has been charged to court of law this morning at the Chief’s Magistrate Court along Ibadan road, Ile-Ife.

Oyekan Ibunkun, popularly known as Dr IBK, has pleaded not guilty to all the charges of theft and fraud that he was charged with by the Students’ Union leaders. It should be recalled that Dr IBK was arrested after United Bank for Africa, OAU Campus revealed him as the suspect that withdrew a sum of #720,000 from the Great Ife Students’ Union account.

Furthermore, the Security Department of the University apprehended Dr IBK and transferred him to Moore police station where he got transferred to appear before a court of law this morning. This information about Dr IBK appearing before the court of law was revealed in a Press Release issued by the Students’ Union Public Relations Officer, Mr Taofeek Ogunperi.
