The Public Relations Officer of the Great Ife Students’ Union, Mr Taofeek Ogunperi, has confirmed that the union has arrested the former Students’ Union President, Ibunkun Oyediran Oyekan who is popularly known as Dr IBK.
The PRO of the Students’ Union confirmed this information in a press release given out by his office today which is a day after the revelation that Dr IBK was the one that illegally withdrew money from the Union account.
“FOLLOWING the revelation by United Bank for Africa (UBA) about the 720 000 Naira illegally transferred from the Students’ Union account, the impeached President of the 2016/2017 parliamentary session, Oyekan Ibukun “Dr IBK”, is confirmed arrested.
His arrest is coming after the investigation of UBA revealed that the money was transferred to one “Bello Oyeku” with GT Bank account 0137762128 via an internet source traced as:

Dr IBK who was arrested by the Security Department of the University is now transferred to Moore Police Station where the investigation into the illegal withdrawal continues.” Mr Taofeek concluded.
