Breaking: UBA Reveals The Identity Of The Man Who Unlawfully Withdrew #720,000 From OAU Students’ Union Account

The management of the United Bank of Africa ( UBA) on Obafemi Awolowo University Campus has revealed the identity of the person who unlawfully withdrew money from the Students’ Union account without the knowledge of the Union Leaders.

In a release by the bank today, it was revealed that the sum of seven hundred and twenty (720,000) missing money was withdrawn by the former President of the Students Union, Ibukun Oyediran Oyekan who is popularly known as Dr IBK. Dr IBK happened to be one of the Students’ Union executive members before the proscription of the Union in the year 2017.

After the money had been siphoned from the Union account, it was wired into the account with Bello Oyekunle Saheed as the owner under the platform of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank). The bank officials also promised the generality of the Great Ife students that the account would be tracked and the money would be refunded as soon as possible.

It should be recalled that the members of the executive council of the Great Ife Students’ Union were at United Bank of Africa yesterday where they protested about the unlawful disappearance of the Union funds in the account. Eagle News also reported that the incumbent, Reform, had partnered with Dr IBK to transfer the money.
