OAU Students’ Union Leaders Cry Out At UBA As Over #700,000 Goes Missing In The Union Account

The leaders of the Students’ Union, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, protested at the Union Bank of Africa ( UBA), OAU Branch today as over seven hundred thousand naira mysteriously disappeared in the Union account. The executive members of the Students’ Union led a protest to the bank where they agitated to know the destination of the missing funds.

According to the reports published by theiconsorganization, the manager of the UBA Bank, OAU Branch enjoined the union leaders to exercise patience as issues will be resolved as soon as possible. Similarly, he also promised to investigate the illegal withdrawal of funds from the Obafemi Awolowo University Students’ Union account.

It should be recalled that there were already reports published by Eagle News that the Union President, Reform, had secretly skimmed off a total of #700, 000 naira in the Union account alongside the immediate past president of the Union, Dr IBK.

The president of the Union, Reform, and Legbeti, who are the rightful signatories to the account outrightly denied and rebutted the reports posted by Eagle News that they were not aware of any missing funds in the association’s account and they did not use their respective offices to authorize any withdrawal.
