The University Management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) had on Thursday extended by four weeks the two week Mid-Semester break.
ASUU members within the institution had embarked on strike at the begining of the semester, and before the break, the Ife indigene also protestover protested over the selection of the institution’s new vice-chancellor.
The school management made this known in a special release by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, M. I Omosule (Mrs.)
“On 26th March 2022, the University Management announced a two week mid-semester break for students beginning fro Monday 28th March, 2022.
“With full realization of the import and impact of the industrial actions embarked on by the various Unions within the various Nigerian University system, the University Management has decided to elongate the mid-semester break by four (4) weeks.
“Students are therefore directed to continue with the mid-semester break for four (4) weeks beginning from Monday, 11th April, 2022.
“We wish our esteemed students a productive and and most refreshing break.
“Thank you.”
