The Division of Student Affairs has issued payment guidelines for students who intend to extend their stay in the halls of residence, following the directive that all students vacate the hostels on or before September 7th, 2025.
Some students, who have yet to complete their projects or are preparing for the compulsory teaching practice programme scheduled to begin on September 22, have been permitted to remain in the halls of residence. However, each approved student is to pay a fee of ₦10,000 to extend their stay beyond the stipulated deadline.
The payment instruction for the extension of stay:
1. Go to www.remita.net
2. Select Obafemi Awolowo University – 1000111
3. Name of service / purpose – other income
4. Description – halls of residence income
5. GIFMIS Code – 1000275517
6. Amount: #10,000
7. Convert the Remita receipt to OAU receipt at the Cash Office and submit the receipt at the Hall of Residence.
NOTE: The Cash Office is located at the Senate Building. Also, only those who had accommodation in any of the university halls during the last academic session will be permitted to stay.
The approved male and female hostels for the extension are Awolowo Hall of Residence and Moremi Hall of Residence, respectively.
