The Infocus News Agency held her sessional get-together/handover ceremony on July 27th, 2025. The event began a new era in the agency’s leadership as new executives were appointed.
The new executives include: Balogun Hairat as the Editor-In-Chief; Kolawole Oreoluwa as the Deputy Editor-In-Chief; Onasanya Omotoyosi as the General Secretary; Ekundayo Tinuoluwa as the Financial Secretary; and Ogunwale Matthew as the Blog Manager.
The ceremony kicked off with the get-together. Members introduced themselves, and Ekundayo Tinuoluwa gave a welcome address to all attendees. Next was the presentation of two poems by Ogunwale Matthew. Matthew extolled the outgoing editor-in-chief, reminiscing about her laudable achievements while she was at the helm of affairs in the news agency.
Also, Ekundayo Tinuoluwa bid farewell to the graduating members, as she praised their diligence and meritorious service to the agency.
The hangout session featured charade games and hilarious impersonation of some agency members by other members.
Additionally, the outgoing editor-in-chief, Popoola Blessing Ifeoluwa, gave a farewell speech. She thanked the members for their support and resilience during her tenure. She also highlighted that despite the hurdles and hitches, with the help of all members, she had a successful administration. Therefore, she introduced the new executives and concluded the handover process.
The new editor-in-chief presented gifts and certificates to the graduating members. She appreciated their hard work and positive contributions to the news agency, encouraging them to keep up the spirit in the outside world. The session ended with refreshments and group photographs.
