No blood, No glory

Dear reader, calm down and read to the end. You’re safe 🙂

A closer look at the Old Testament of the Bible would make clear the reason Jesus came to the world.PAUSE; let’s go through the story of the fall of man again. Adam and Eve was placed in the Garden of Eden to enjoy and eat all of the trees except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that was situated at the center of the garden. Unfortunately, Satan came to Eve through a serpent to put one over on her by telling her to eat of the forbidden tree, not only did she eat, she also offered out of the fruit to Adam: this very act led to the beginning of the sins, curses, adversity… facing the world today. Men has been destined to pay dearly for their sins but Christ intervened and came as a substitute for our sins,he left his glory in heaven and came in form of man and was cut down to size. He paid the debt he did not owe and owe the debt we could not pay.

Prophet Isaiah foretold the humiliation Christ eventually faced. It says in the book of Isaiah 53:5 “ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” His death not only brought salvation, it came along with healing. He was scourged, stripped of his clothes and sneered at. It’s so sad to know that he was delivered up to the religious authorities by one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot for 30 pieces of silver.

Through death Christ destroyed the holder of the power of death; Satan and delivered those that has been subjected to the bondage of death. 

His blood gives privilege to those that believes in him to be called the sons of God and gives believers the boldness to enter into the holiest. The effectiveness of Christ’s blood that was shed on the Cross of Calvary cannot be overemphasized.

As it was prophesied in Mark 9:31 “The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.”Christ resurrected on the third day of his death and showed himself to his disciples. He resurrected into glory and ascended into heaven after the promise of the Holy Ghost.

By the shedding of his blood, he was glorified. We can also partake in that Glory if we go through the blood shed on the cross of Calvary for our sins!
